2015 Mini-Campaign Successes

Looking back over 2015, we utilized the mini-campaign concept donations strategy. Using this system, we were able to fund the following purchases and projects which were desired by the undergraduate base. Thank you to everyone for their generosity.

New Dining Room Chairs ($3,650) – The previous dining room chairs had been purchased in the early to mid-2000s and were beginning to break down. Forty-five new, solid maple, mahogany finished, USA made chairs were purchased in September 2015. The supplier was Affordable Seating of Chicago.

New Red Stairs Carpet ($1,478) – The previous red stairs carpet was installed in the early 2000s. Easily being one of the most traveled areas in the house, it was becoming heavily soiled and threadbare in many areas. Simply put, it was not making a good first impression. New carpet was installed over winter break 2015. The contractor was Flooring Surfaces of Champaign.

New Camera Security System ($10,572) – Completed in Spring 2016 (shortly before summer break), this project is being completed using 2015 funds. A Clinton Electronics 7 camera system has been installed, which will provide coverage of the house exterior, entry points, and some common interior areas. Similar camera systems are already in use at many other Psi Upsilon chapters to deter theft and vandalism, as well as providing critical evidence in the unlikely event an incident should occur at the house. The contractor was Midco Systems of Bloomington.
